Enhance the beauty of darkness and accentuating the unique interplay of light within the space.
The project establishes a dedicated environment for the craft of soapmaking while simultaneously invigorating the bathing experience within the historically significant “Gunboat Sheds” in Holmen, Copenhagen.

The design integrates essential elements of the soapmaking process into a performative spatial flow-
transforming functional components into sculptural features. By leveraging the inherent qualities of the existing architecture, the project introduces additive elements crafted from bricks, stained wood, brushed steel, and diffuse glass surfaces, creating a harmonious and intellectually stimulating environment that honors both the artisanal craft and the historic context.
