SPACE TO GRIEVE

My master’s thesis explores a symbiotic approach to the grieving process and the sensitive transformation of building structures. It combines anthropological research on grief with experimental workshops to develop new transformation strategies. Working with an existing historical construction site in the heart of Copenhagen, the project values historical building damages and existing spatial qualities, aiming to create spaces that enhance social awareness of loss and mourning in contemporary society.
